ikonika and goldielocks for charity fundraiser

On Tuesday, December 22, London venue Cargo will host See You Next Tuesday, a beat-centric night with an all-female lineup including DJs, MCs and vocalists, every one unique and pushing boundaries in their respective fields.

As if the female-centric vibe wasn’t enticing enough, it’s also a fundraiser in aid of VDay, a global charity that challenges violence against women and girls and provides safe houses and support for victims, a crucial organisation when one considers that one in three UK women are on the receiving end of domestic violence.

The lineup for this rather fabulous shindig includes headliner Ikonika, a woman who’s spearheading a new direction of bass-driven discovery on revered and evolutionary label Hyperdub Records, and South London production queen Goldielocks, who’ll be bringing some urban eclecticism to the proceedings.

The programme is completed by another Hyperdub luminary and funked up superstar Cooly G, enigmatic hotstepper and soulful diva Fatima, and Diesel-U-Music Radio’s very own hip-hop selector Lucy Pink.

See You Next Tuesday offers the perfect chance to get your dance on with like-minded folks while contributing to a very worthy cause and raising awareness. Tickets are £5 in advance, or £6 on the door.
